Just a Walk in the Park

So, today I boldly went where most brave/ genius moms go everyday, the park. Let me repeat, I TOOK BOTH CHILDREN TO THE PARK, ALONE!! This was very outta my comfort zone. I am always picturing the worst case scenerio: Sophia runs off in the crowded playground then I am unable to find her as I zoom around with Brayden in our overly large stroller and I am screaming and crying for her (kids start freaking out parents are frantic) then Sophia pops out from under the slide (can we say OVER-REACTOR!!), or she falls off of the playground equipment, or some rapid animal comes up and bites us (this could so happen, in fact a scary looking dog (looked a little mangey ran towards us today, NO FEAR THOUGH, I threw chicken nuggets far from us to get him to go away), or a danger stranger comes up and watches (so afraid of the sketchy characters), a mean child pushes her over and I am tempted to go and make them apologize to my baby... you know the worst case scenario. This is why I rarely go to a playground alone... I am such a wuss. Today was different, I said to myself, "self, you have got to get yourself and your children out of this house and take in some of this beautiful fall weather!!" So off we went.

Needless to say, 2 out of three had a wonderful time. I will let you view the pictures and you decide who was not so hot on so playground activities.....

In this picture she is saying, "best day ev-er!!"

Here they cannot figure out why they are no longer moving.

In this one, they notice their shadow

She sees the manegy dog- "no, momma.. its ruff ruff!!"

push me momma

don't like this....

still not having fun...

hey, get me outta this contraption!

seriously, quit taking my picture.

One half smile, then I am screaming!

I am so over this.

I will sleep right here.

Besides the swings the slide was the favorite. She went down the slide about 50 times before she realized there were other things to play with at the park.

Getting sleepy!

me: Sophia, are you ready to go home?

Sophia: ummmm- yes

Well, this outting was a walk in the park, I will probably take them back tomorrow!

Love yal!

5 years of lovin' and some livin'!

Happy 5 Year Anniversary to my wonderful husband, Aron. O my goodness, at how far we have come. 5 years later, a dog, a home, two sweet babies. I could not be happier in this life that I have made with you. Thank you for being my biggest supporter and my best friend. I am so loved and I appreciate everyday that I get to spend being your wife. Tear, sniffle, sniffle.

Now for a trip down memory lane, our wedding day.

Look at how nice we look, all dressed up.

The Curry Family

Check out these lovely ladies, my cousins and my baby sister. These were the junior bridesmaids for our special occasion.
Daddy walking my down the aisle. Could be one of my favorite moments of the day. When I came out of the room to be presented in the church, I started to cry when I saw my daddy. Don't know why, but it was so sweet. He looked at me pulled out his pockets and said what are ya crying for honey, I do not have anymore money! Haha! He made me laugh and we made our walk! (FYI, he cried a tear or 3 too!)
my dress. I love it still! the top part is a jacket and buttoned up the back. sigh. I love that dress. Humm... I should put it on for when Aron gets home from work and just be doing the dishes or changing baby diapers- he would d-i-e! (or laugh, bc it would never zip/ button up the back!)

The garter thingy

Our first dance

The cake feeding

Aron and his beautiful sister (my sister too!)

The wedding party. Yes, count them if you must. But we just have some amazing friends that we wanted to be a part of the day.
So happy to spend the rest of my life with you.

I really thought I would never ever find the perfect man to settle down with, buy a home with, have some babies with, grow old with, have Christmas time with, husband to cook for, someone to take care of me when I am old, someone to take out my trash cans, someone to wake up to in the mornings, but I found him. It is the best love story I could have ever dreamed up and I cannot wait to see what is in store for the next 5, 15, 50 years of marriage.

Just an FYI, Someday My Prince Will Come is playing in the background right now! Sophia is watching her new favorite princess movie (Snow White)!! What an appropriate song to be on while I type this out!

Beach Baby

Did I mention that we just love having fun at the beach? Well, we L-O-V-E it! Each morning we would wake up at around 5 have breakfast about 730-8 and then the rest of the day was spent relaxing and playing in the pool or the beach. Just love a beach vaca!!

Warning: This post will contain a lot of skin but lots of cuteness!!

I heart her!!

Love him too!!

Jason holding Sophia. What is my mother pointing at? Don't you think that they look a little concerned about what is in the water??

Dad and Mom. They could stay out on the beach all day until the sun sets!!

We would fill a pool up of water for Sophia to play in! She loved it!

Daddy and Sophia building a sand castle!
Chillin at the beach!

Granddaddy taking care of his girl!

Not a fan of the sand, but he enjoyed himself!

Splash time!

She loves him!

Practicing kicking

Uncle Richard swimming along

On the way to another day at the water!
This is what these two would do everyday after spending time outside! I spent this time reading books in bed. O how I love it when these two get a good nap!

I must look away from this picture, because when I see it it really makes me want to have 4 more of him.

Look away...

Look away!!

Okay, that is over!

We had such a fun time at the Turquoise Place. It had two pools, a childrens pool, it is right on the beach (so nice), and it had a lazy river (which we did not discover until the last day or 2 that we were there). Such a blast. Looking at these pictures makes me wanna go swimming right now!!

I heart the beach!

Just one of those days....

when I have been forced to eat and drink!

Do yal ever have one of those days?

The ones where you would like to hit the rewind button!!

I honestly should not even be typing this out, but I figured if something were to happen to me (nervous breakdown and I am put in a loony bin, I pass out from the horrendous stench of poo diapers my precious is producing, or I over dose from the massive amounts of sugar I am putting into my body) yal need to know what drove me to it and why I would not be updating the blog! Ha! Seriously

My sweet girl has a very upset stomach (from teething or a bug, not sure) but it has given me a reason to bathe/ shower her 3 times this morning, change her sheets and wash 7 babies, wash a pillow and multiple outfits, mop the kitchen floor, bleach the kids bathtub, and now wash my sheets/ comforter. (Thus the intake of sugar, to keep me going!!)

Positive note: Brayden is taking a nap

Praying I can keep it together until Aron comes home (did I mention he is on call...BOO!)

Hope all is good in your neck of the woods!

99 bottles of Dr.Pepper on the wall......

99 bottles of drink... ya take one down... ya pass it around.... 98 bottles of Dr. Pepper on the wall... and repeat!!! 98 bottles of Dr. Pepper on the wall...... ya catch my drift.

15 hours in a suburban, 3 adults (me and my brothers), 2 children under the age of 2, a small dvd player with suitcase of Disney movies to be viewed, a couple a soda pops, 8 suitcases, boardgames, a skillet, snacks... and redneck riviera, "Here We Come!!"

This picture cracks me up! Daddy is holding the luggage and stuff in so it will not fall out! I told yal in a previous email we pack up everything when we travel!! No Joke!!

Me and my momma (while the boys packed the car)

Jason and I. Can you see the fear in his eyes. He is going to be trapped in the car for the next 15 hours with 2 small children. He really has no idea how many times we will have to stop for diaper changes, random stops to stretch our legs, stops at EVERY Cracker Barrel along the way to Orange Beach (there are at least 7, I have them mapped out on my phone- they have the best shopping!!) Little did he know we would hear the Hot Dog song 29 times and watch Tinkerbell and The Lion King 4 times- we love some Simba in this house!

Yay! We are so excited to go on vacation!

Some of us were less than excited!

This is where I sat, inbetween 2 car seats. Let me tell ya- riding in the middle with a wee bita leg room (with these child birthing hips)...well I survived.

Are we there yet??

Seriously, when we pulled up the clouds opened up and I could kind of hear angels singing. It took 9 hours of driving the first day, an overnight stay in Jackson Mississippi (everyone in 1 room 2 queen size beds), only 1 stop at Cracker Barrel (boo!!), a few thunderstorms, group sing alongs of The Circle of Life and HakunaMatata, only 2 times driving off course (added about an hour extra of driving time), no crying from babies (shocker), no break downs from babies (shocker), 6 hours of driving on day 2, and a shopping trip at Sams.....

Hello Sweet Turquiose Place!! We are so happy to see you!

Thank you to my wonderful brothers for driving me and my babies to the beach safely! You guys are the best! Such a fun time!

This concludes post 1 of about 10! haha!!

Sophia's Sweet Song

Oh how busy the days are with two children, a husband, a dog, extended family, ect..  I start the days so early, feed people, dress people, clean up after people, go to Wal-Mart, wash clothes, and then get little sleep at night (since someone in our family (Brayden) does not enjoy sleeping throughout an entire night!  Just when I think that I cannot do another day, this happens.....

Thank you Sophia for reminding me that what I am doing everyday is so very important and how much I DO enjoy my job as a wife and mommy.

Happy day yal!

Caryn

(please ignore my atrocious singing voice, I have been under the weather and sound Shrek-ish)
