Party for 18??

OMGoodness! Well, on the 21st (next Monday) I will be having a dinner party for 18! So much to do and so little time. I have a few short days to :

mop the floors

do the laundry

clean the house

scrub those yucky bathrooms

plan a wondermous dinner menu

transform the entry of our home to a winter wonderland (I just love a project!!)

I really need to start addressing Christmas cards

and the list goes on and on!!!!! Do you ever feel like Cinderella? (Do the mopping, do the dishes, do the sweeping, do the cleaning!!) Where are my mouse friends to help?

Seriously, I am so excited. I just love getting together with my sweet friends. Hopefully later that week I will be hosting both of our families on the 23rd and on Christmas Eve. Such a busy week.

Which also reminds me, Christmas is only 10 days away? Have you finished your shopping?? Aron and I are not exchanging gifts this year, but we still need to get on the ball with the rest of our family. We are such procrastinators, waiting until the last minute!!

Oh yeah, and an FYI, be careful going through all of your stored away Christmas decorations, earlier this month I was helping my momma and came across a BLACK WIDOW! YIKES! Well, I just happened to be going to the garage to get some more things to put out, and there it was, looking at me, almost taunting me, daring me to come and take a step in his direction....a brown recluse----. Well, it totally was not his day.

Sophia's Room!!

I have been busy on Sophia's bedroom, as if she will ever sleep in it! I cannot imagine putting her in there, all alone! She seems pretty excited about it!
This is the dollhouse that my Moss and Poss gave to me 28 years ago. I slapped on some fresh new paint, and now our sweet girl can play with it one day! The curtains were made by momma and myself. The little rocker was my great grandmothers. She rocked all of her children and grandchildren in that rocker. The wall behind the chair will have another piece of furniture, but it has not come in yet! The last photo is of sweetpeas Christmas tree!


This is her princess bed! Momma and I went to Hobby Lobby (love that place) and found some hot pink tulle. Momma sewed (by hand) the fringe on the sides and the bottom, it turned out so wonderfully. I painted some fun bugs on the wall!



We have spent many a sleepless nights rocking Sophia in her rocker. The Winnie the Pooh picture was stitched by my momma for me when I was born. The pillow in the chair was given to me by my friend Regan. She made it, the girl is so creative. In the last picture, you cannot see them very well, but my little sister painted a snail family along the baseboard, too cute.

This is the whimsical tree! Momma and I started it one day, then I started having contractions!! Who knew all you had to do was paint to get a baby here! Jason came over and tried to finish the tree for me, but we ran out of time, Sophia was here before we knew it. I completed the tree after she was born. If you look closely, mine and Aron's intials are on the tree (like they are carved on there)! My sister and I painted the letters hot pink and I did a little white outline on them to look like they are stitched. There are also little bugs on the letters. Just a fun project. The last photo is of the toy wall. Katie Grace made Sophia a dream catcher and I turned it into a kite.

Date Night!!!

Woo hoo! It is Tuesday, and it is date night! Aron is not aware of the evening plans, but he will be when he gets home from work! So excited, my SIL (sister in law) LeAnne just stopped by for a quick visit and had rented us the movie, The Proposal. Have yal seen this movie? It is just a riot. To be brief, it is about a high powered controlling business woman who is going to be deported! So in order for her to stay, she forces her assistant to become engaged to her! The two of them are too funny, everyone should totally check this movie out!!

My current employer is very difficult to work with. I can never do anything fast enough for him or correctly. I feel like he is constantly on my case. I have not told him yet, but I am going to start looking for a different job! In fact, here is his picture, I would hate for anyone else to have to work with him!

I mean, just look at him. He holds me too close, he is so not professional!!
Just kidding guys, that is my sweet husband Aron! He is the head of the Foresee house! I work as the senior director over household affairs, Sophia and the dog report to me. I could not be happier!!

I have always been so lucky in the working world to have such wonderful supervisors, so I cannot imagine working with such a different personality. Have any of you had such a bad working relationship with a boss? What did you do? Do you still work with them?

Also, I had been working so hard on getting Sophia's birth announcements out! They are finally done, and I wanted everyone to get a peek, they are so precious. I had them done by A Piece of Pope, http://www.apieceofpope.com/. Anita does great work, and I hope to use her for something else in the future: baby announcements, Christmas cards, note cards.

Today has been so nice. My friends, Brooke and Erin, stopped over for lunch and a quick visit. I was so excited for the company. I have known these girls since my days at WJHS, when we were all on the drill team (Cub Kickers)!! I love them both so much! Girl friends are so wonderful to have, I am so fortunate to have them.

I decided that I would cook for them today, so I tried out a new recipe today, chicken taco soup. It was so yummy and the recipe is super easy!

Ingredients:

chicken (boneless skinless)

onion

garlic

package of taco seasoning

1 can chicken broth (or two cups chicken broth)

1 can diced tomatoes

1 can red beans

1 can kidney beans

1 can great white northern beans

Boil your chicken, and in a separate pot saute your onion and garlic, once complete dump all of your other ingredients into the pot!! Yum Yum gimmie some, so easy, only took about 8 minutes to empty everything, and let it simmer for about 1 1/2 hours. It is really good topped with shredded cheese and sour cream. Don't forget your tortilla chips!

Soup is so good on these chilly fall days.

Have any great recipes that do not take that long to prepare? I am working on little Miss Sophia's schedule so it cannot take too much time!!

I am going to go try and rest now, my friend, Rana is in town and today is her birthday! We are going to be celebrating this weekend. Starting tomorrow morning we will be looking a wedding dresses (since she just got engaged) and then her engagement party tomorrow evening! I will be missing my Razorbacks play, but I will be there in spirit! Woo Pig!!

I just could not do a post today without a picture of Sophia!! She is still so small, I feel like her clothes sometimes are just swallowing her!

It is a slow Thursday!

Today has been very low key in the Foresee house. The weather in B-town has been rainy yucky and now we are in a tornado watch! I cannot believe that I am sitting here on the computer during this horrible storm, so I will make it quick!

I am reading the greatest series of books right now, the Twilight books!

I am hooked and pumped for the next movie to come out in November. Have yal read these books? Are you on team Edward or team Jacob? I have just started book 3, loving it!! Have you read any good books lately, let me know!

I just had to upload these two pictures of our girl after she got out of her bath today. She really makes my job as a stay at home mom so wonderful!

Where does all of the time go???

Well, sorry I have been absent from the blog world, but someone is keeping me very busy!!

That is right! She is here!! we welcomed Sophia Elise Foresee into the world August 2, at 6:20 p.m.. She weighed 6 lbs and 7 oz, 19 3/4 in long. Let me tell ya, labor is some rough stuff, but we could not be happier! She is the best thing that has ever happened to Aron and I.

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. 1 Samuel 1:27

She is 8 weeks old today, and she has changed so very much! In the past 2 months she has accomplished so much...we are just so very proud! Sophia is.... smiling, beginning to laugh, follows us with her eyes and head, when she hears noises or voices she is searching all around to see what is near. She likes it very much when we sing to her (most favorite is I've got that Joy Joy Joy Joy down in my heart!), she is eating about 6-7 oz every 3 1/2 -4 hrs and we just started on the rice cereal this morning (YIKES, so messy)! The cereal will hopefully help with her acid reflux and colic!

We just stopped nursing this week (past Tuesday, she just was not having it any longer!) Makes me so sad! She enjoys a bath (this is totally my child, because I could just live in a bathtub)! This is a photo of her Honey giving her a bath!

She is taking about 2 hours naps after her daytime feedings and sleeps about 4 hours in between her nighttime feedings. One night she slept for 9 hours, I was so concerned, I kept checking on her!!

She has had many visitors, the first month she was born, family members, girls from the church, friends, my PEO sisters would stop in for a visit and bring us meals. We were very lucky, I do not know when we would have eaten meals had it not been for someone bringing us food, we could have starved.

We have not gone out very often, just visits to Honey and Granddaddy's house, over to see Uncle Ryan and Auntie LeAnne, we have been to the doctors office, Belk (yay!), a PEO meeting (this is big), and 2 ladies luncheons with Amie and Lauren! Our biggest trip was to the Razorback game to watch those HOGS play Georgia (Boo, but she looked cute)!

Today, she started wearing size 1 diapers (no more newborn size), she is 8 lbs 6 oz. She is enjoying her tummy time, and is holding her head up all by herself, for quite a long time (we say she is very independent)!

Did I mention, we are just so in love with our sweet Sophia!

Dream a Little Dream

Well, if you cannot tell from the latest photo, I look like I might explode! Aron and I are so excited right now, just waiting on the big debut of our precious Sophia (only 18 more days to go)! We have had some spectacular baby showers, are almost finished decorating her bedroom, have washed all of her clothes and blankets, I think that we might be ready!! I hope we are ready.

Although, we are so pumped about her soon arrival, I have been having some very crazy dreams! Is this normal?

I will fill yal in on some of the latest ones....As some of you might know I have some big curly hair (my nickname in high school (by some) was BIG PERM), although these curls are so natural!! Well, anyways Aron and I went to the hospital, since I was in labor, I did not get an epidural (because they were out of them, I know it is like they are Wal-Mart or something). The doctor had to use these overwhelmingly large forceps to get Sophia out (oddly enough I felt no pain, in fact I think I looked quite nice during the whole delivery, but when he pulled her out, she had curlers in her hair! Not just any curlers, Lock n Roll curlers (hello, so 80s), I totally got them for Christmas, and yes, I used them to put some curl in my hair!!

If anyone can translate what dreams mean, I would like to know!!

The next one, I went to the hospital, because I was in labor! Well, the doctor said we cannot naturally deliver this baby girl, you will have to have a c-section! Yikes! The reason they could not deliver her, was because she weight like 13 pounds (now I have some hips, but not that much)! So I went in for the c-section, so scared and Aron was so strong and comforting, and then Sophia was delivered. Aron cried I cried, and then the doctor says, "what is that?" Well, those words being spoken in a delivery could make anyone a little uneasy, well Dr. Pappas pulls out another baby, apparently Sophia (gigantor baby) was taking up all of the frame in the ultrasounds and they never saw baby number 2! So we left the hospital with 2 babies!! What does that mean??? I don't know!!

One of the first dreams that I had when we found out we were pregnant, we brought the baby home and I just forgot about it! Yes, I went along with my daily business until one evening I heard her cry. So I went into the back bedroom and there she was, so I gave her what every baby wants, some Dr. Pepper and a microwave burrito! What kind of mother am I going to be? Then that was not even the crazy part! I went to change her and this baby did not have a dirty diaper, when she went to the bathroom out came crystals!! What?? I know!!

As yal can probably tell, I am not really getting enough sleep! Maybe tonight will be better, if not, I will let you know what I dream about this evening!! Did anyone else have odd dreams during pregnancy, if not, please make something up as to make me feel a little normal!!
